ESAB OK Autrod 5183 wire has a relatively high yield strength and is suitable for welding AA 5183 or similar high manganese alloys. In most cases, OK Autrod 5356 wire does not withstand the loads that OK Autrod 5183 can withstand. The wire is mainly used in the marine and civil industries, where high demands are made for crack resistance, impact resistance and aggressive environments. The wire is not recommended for use at elevated temperatures as it becomes susceptible to stress corrosion cracking.
